BOOK SALE COMING SOON! BOOK COLLECTION STARTS NOW
January 2 through February 23

Friends of the Library will be accepting used books, CDs, and DVDs for the Annual Book Sale. Bring your donations to the rear entrance of the library and deposit them in the hallway. Please donate books that are in good condition. We do not accept textbooks or encyclopedias. The Book Sale begins on March 10.

PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

Here’s to a happy and healthy New Year! We are starting it right with a yoga program for teens. It is a series of four classes, and you may take as many classes as you wish; registration opens two weeks prior to each class. For art lovers, we will have a treat in our large Lundt Meeting Room offering the Art Show with Fanelo Aguayo, on view through the month of January. Opening reception is on Sunday.

Children of all ages
Introduce your child to basic Spanish vocabulary with fun stories, songs and music!

Ⓐ Gen Y Networking Group – 7 p.m.
All are welcome to attend this forum dedicated to Generation Y young adults and others interested in job search, networking, and career development.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 4
Ⓒ Yoga Storytime – 10 or 10:45 a.m.
For preschoolers and their caregivers
Practice yoga poses to go with yoga stories – fun for children and adults.

Ⓐ Blood Pressure Screening – 11 a.m. to 12 noon
Stop by for a quick and free blood pressure check.

Ⓣ Yoga for Teens – 5 to 6 p.m.
Thursdays, January 4, 11, 18 & 25 – 5 to 6 p.m.
Grades 8 to 12 Limit: 12 students
Registration opens two weeks prior to each class
Angie Oberhelman, LPC and owner of Stress and Emotional Wellness Counseling, will offer yoga classes for teenagers. She incorporates yoga in her therapy with teens and adults. Ms. Oberhelman will guide you through poses (asana), breathing (pranayama) and meditation (focusing) to help you feel calm and energized. Mats, blocks and straps will be provided. Wear comfortable clothing so you can move easily in the poses. Put your troubles aside, relieve some stress, build self-esteem and have fun!

SUNDAY, JANUARY 7
Ⓐ Art Show with Fanelo Aguayo Opening Reception – 2:15 to 4 pm
Fanelo Aguayo, Chatham resident and Spanish national, will hold a show of his oil paintings, Extraordinary Stories, through January. Mr. Aguayo was the winner of the Marian Anderson Memorial Award for Portraiture in 2015 presented by the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit. Reception sponsored by Friends of the Library.
