Learn About Jersey Tomatoes In Chatham Sunday
Visit the Chatham Township Municipal Building to learn about the cherry to the beefsteak.

CHATHAM, NJ - Anyone curious about finding out the history of the tomato and how it ended up being one of New Jersey's favorite crops can visit the Chatham Township Municipal Building Sunday for a presentation and tomato tasting.
Speaker Judith Kroll Russo will be presenting a talk on the state’s renowned tomato packing industry and what happened to it. Russo will go over heirloom varieties, modern hybrids and the folklore attached to the fruit.
After Russo’s presentation guests can taste a variety of delicious locally-grown tomatoes and other snacks.

The event is scheduled for 58 Meyersville Road and will begin at 2 p.m.
