Letter: Chatham Twp. Mayor's Track Record Proves Success, Deserves Re-Election

Open space, more community involvement lynchpins of Kevin Sullivan's current term, resident says.

Dear Editor,

I am pleased to support Kevin Sullivan for reelection to the Chatham Township Committee. During Kevin’s term and through his leadership as Mayor, the Township has preserved its quality of life through good management and financial responsibility. The historic purchase of Giralda Farms completed during Kevin’s tenure will preserve much needed “open space” for the future. Careful stewardship of our financial resources has enabled the Township to meet the needs of our community while maintaining and recently reducing our municipal tax rate.

Through it all, Kevin maintains a balanced and cooperative approach to solving the issues we face, no matter how controversial. And he has attracted new participants to our local government, thus increasing citizen involvement, which is the best way to secure the future of good government in Chatham. Reelection will provide Kevin with an opportunity to serve our community further, and Kevin’s strong record demonstrates that he deserves that opportunity.
