Letter: Primary Candidate Says Borough In Good Hands After Election Results
Votes don't go Patrick Carroll's way, but says he'll stay committed to helping the community.

Dear Editor,
On Tuesday we had the opportunity to see democracy in action. While I’m obviously disappointed with the results, I’m happy to know that the Borough is in good hands with two highly talented and dedicated volunteers to lead our community for the next three years. Also, I’d like to also thank both Len and Peter for keeping their campaigns positive throughout this process, you are both true statesmen.
I’d like to thank everyone who came out to vote. I’d like to thank all of my supporters in particular Joe Marts and Fran Drew. As two of the most tenured members and volunteers in our community, it’s an honor to have you in my corner. Finally but certainly not least, I’d like to thank my family, extended family and friends for all of their support. I couldn’t have come this far without you.

I look forward to continuing on as Chair of the Shade Tree commission. The tree lined streets are one of the things I love most about Chatham. If you are looking for a tree for your front yard, please let the Shade Tree Commission know!
The past few months have been a great learning experience as I’ve been able to visit with so many passionate Chatham residents. I look forward to maintaining these relationships, because this isn’t the last time that you’ve heard from me!
