CHATHAM, NJ — Library of the Chathams will host award winning author, documentary filmmaker, and human rights activist Jen Marlowe this Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. Marlowe will discuss her most recent book I Am Troy Davis, which was written with and about the Georgia death row prisoner and his controversial execution in 2011.
Davis was convicted of and executed for a 1989 murder of a police officer in Savannah, Georgia. The officer, Mark MacPhail, was working as a security guard at a Burger King at the time he was killed.
There was a world-wide outcry when Davis was executed because many people believe he was innocent.
