LOOK: Chatham Twp. Police Host National Night Out

A perfect summer night was the stage for a successful National Night Out event in Chatham Township, where officers spent an evening meeting with residents and teaching citizens more about public safety.

The event, held Tuesday, August 4, comes on the heels of major accomplishments and changes in the township over the past few months.

Just this week, Chatham Township was ranked by safewise.com as the safest city in New Jersey. In July, the police department received accreditation from the New Jersey Association of Chiefs of Police, and earlier this year the police force, in conjunction with the township, kicked off a neighborhood watch program.
