Major Chatham Road Project to Start in August, End in Late September
1.2 miles of Fairmount Avenue to be milled, paved.

More than a mile of roadway going through Chatham Borough and Chatham Township will be milled and paved, and won’t be complete until late September, according to Morris County.
Fairmount Avenue between Southern Boulevard and Watchung Avenue, a 1.2-mile distance, will have storm water basin work begin the week of Aug. 31, and milling and paving expected to start around Sept. 17.
Construction hours will be between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Traffic detours are possible, but school buses will be allowed through the work area.

The work is being completed by Top Line Construction, and the project cost is $390,876.
