UPDATE: Man Found Dead at Chatham Playground Wednesday

A man’s dead body was found at Garden Park in Chatham Wednesday morning and the cause of death has been determined to be suicide, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced.

Chatham police received a call at 6:37 a.m. Wednesday morning for a report of a male body found at the playground, Knapp said. When patrols arrived on scene they found the victim, whose identity is known to law enforcement but is not being released at this time.

No further information is being released Wednesday, Knapp said. The man’s identity is forthcoming.
