Morris County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Celebrates 43 Years with Historical Display

Preserving Our Past, Inspiring Our Future
A Tribute to 43 Years of Commitment to Children and Families

Chatham, NJ — February 2026 — The Morris County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. proudly presents a Historical Display at the Library of the Chathams throughout the month of February 2026, commemorating the chapter’s 43 years of service, leadership, and community impact.

The exhibit highlights the rich history of the Morris County Chapter since its chartering in 1982, honoring the visionary mothers who established the chapter and the generations of families who have sustained its legacy. The display also coincides with the organization’s national celebration of 88 years of excellence and service to children and families.

Visitors will experience archival photographs, historical publications, memorabilia, and reflections that showcase the chapter’s longstanding commitment to leadership development, civic engagement, community service, and youth programming across Morris County.

Legacy member Simone Craig shared that her mother (Viki Craig), a charter member of the Morris County Chapter, “would be so proud of the richness of this display.” Her reflection underscores the deep generational impact of the organization and the pride felt by families whose roots are embedded in the chapter’s founding.

Past Eastern Regional Director, Charter Member and Past Chapter President Sanderal Brown added, “I am so happy that our history is being preserved.” Her words capture the spirit of intentional legacy-building that continues to guide the chapter today.

Legacy member Kamille Ramos also contributed meaningful personal reflections, sharing a treasured photograph of her mother Gwendolyn Edwards, a past Chapter President, Sanderal Brown, attending the Eastern Region Teen Conference.

The chapter extends heartfelt appreciation to its History and Education Committee for thoughtfully curating the exhibit. Special thanks are extended to Committee Chair Shauna Bello and History Chair Simone Craig for their leadership in preserving and presenting the chapter’s legacy. The chapter also offers a special acknowledgment to Vice President Emmanuelle Fleurinor, whose guidance helped secure archival materials and thoughtfully organize the display in a meaningful progression from National to Regional to Chapter history.

The exhibit highlights accomplishments at every level — celebrating the impact of individual mothers, the leadership of teens, and the collective achievements of the chapter as a whole. It is a comprehensive reflection of service, excellence, and enduring commitment.

“Jack and Jill of America was founded on the belief that children thrive when families, leadership, and community come together with purpose,” said Judy-Ann Hargrove, Chapter President of the Morris County Chapter. “This display is more than a look back. It is a celebration of our collective impact and a tribute to the mothers and associates whose dedication continues to shape future leaders.”

February also marks Associate Appreciation Month within Jack and Jill of America, Inc., providing a meaningful opportunity to recognize the contributions of associate members who have helped preserve and strengthen the chapter’s foundation.
