New Emergency Alert System For Chatham Twp

Residents who were registered for alerts under the old system will have to re-register under the new one.

CHATHAM, NJ — Chatham Township has switched to a new emergency alert service provider, and residents will have to re-register for the alerts with the new company.

Effective this month, Chatham Township will use Rave Alert for all emergency alerts sent out in the county. To receive the alerts, called "ACT Now!" alerts, residents can register for them here. Residents who were registered under the old system must register again.

Alerts can be sent by phone, email, or text message. Residents can also sign up for county-wide alerts through the system.
