Prom Excitement at the Salons

There was a touch of extra excitement inside both Les Cheveux Salon and Freedom Salon and Color Studio this afternoon. In both places, Chatham High School seniors were getting their hair done before tonight's prom at the Short Hills Hilton.

We asked the students at the salons why they're excited for tonight's festivities. Here's what they had to say:

"All the planning it took is all over with." — Caitlin O'Neill

"It's our last chance to party with everyone in our grade and to celebrate our graduation. — Meredith Johe

"I'm really excited for the food. I heard it's good." — Valerie Slaughter (who's excited about the possibility of a meat carving station at prom)

"It's the one time to actually look nice, dress up and get a nice picture out of it." — Megan Switzer

"To experience this with my friends at the end of the year—it's a very good milestone." — Bridget Ryan

""I think I'm excited to get all dressed up and be with my friends." — Shelby Dixon

"It's the last big thing we do before we graduate." — Ally Zmijeski
