Multiple entertainment news outlets report that network execs have held multiple meetings about the show’s fate while Giudice finishes out her 15 month jail sentience for mortgage and bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy.

Sources allegedly told TMZ that Bravo is “strongly leaning” toward putting the show on a hiatus until the 42-year-old mother of four, whose the only housewife to remain on the show for all six seasons, returns to the Garden State.

The reason? Network execs think the show’s ratings will sink without Giudice’s storyline, as she tends to be the “main attraction” for the show, according to Perez Hilton.

At the beginning of season six, the N.J. Housewives saw their lowest season premiere ratings since the show‘s debut in May of 2009.

Daily Mail reports ratings did not pick back up until the episode in which Giudice appeared in federal court alongside her husband Joe Giudice aired.

Giudice began serving her 15 month term on Jan. 5 at the Federal Correctional Institution of Danbury, Connecticut.

However, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, she is slated to be released on Feb. 5 - two months earlier than her original release date.
