Loudon Wainwright III Performs at Sanctuary Concert Series

Sloan Wainwright opened Saturday's concert.

On Saturday evening the Sanctuary Concert Series at the Presbyterian Church in Chatham hosted a concert featuring the wry musical humor of Grammy Award winner, Loudon Wainwright III.

Wainwright performed some of his hits ranging from, "My Meds" (about past a present medications in his life) to "Suddenly It's Christmas" (about the longest holiday of the year).

The evening opened with Wainwright's sister, Sloan Wainwright, whose rich voice filled the air with the sounds of jazz, folk and blues. Sloan was backed up by Stephen Murphy on guitar and mandolin.
