St. Patrick School Track Stars Celebrated
St. Patrick School Winged Foot award winners were presented with awards at annual awards ceremony.
The St. Patrick Track team wrapped up their season with their annual awards ceremony. At the ceremony, Coach Joe Eberle distributed the team’s coveted Winged Foot Awards given out to the team’s most outstanding runners. Winners of this years Winged Foot Awards were Greg Goetz, Erin Vostal, Sarah Wittmer, Logan Abele, Mariana Deicas and Kevin Agnew.
The celebration was highlighted by the presentation of the inaugural Cecilia M. Eberle Excellence Award to Sarah Wittmer. The award was named in memory of coach Joe Eberle’s mother who passed away during the season. As a former teacher, she was an advocate of hard work in the classroom and a supporter of school sport programs. The award will be given annually to the runner who demonstrates commitment, leadership, sportsmanship and excellence both on and off the track. Coach Eberle said, “I could not be happier to present this award to Sarah. I am extremely proud of her accomplishments in the classroom, in the community and on the track.” Sarah currently holds 12 St. Patrick School grade track records and is a four time winner of the Winged Foot Award.
