Tennis Team Heads to State Semifinals

How did your favorite sports teams from perform Tuesday and Wednesday?

On Tuesday in state tournament play:

• The girls tennis team defeated Morristown 5-0 in Chatham. The Cougars now advance to play Mendham in the sectional semifinals on Thursday.

In regular season play Tuesday:

• Boys soccer team defeated Hanover Park 3-0 in Chatham.
• Girls soccer team defeated Hanover Park 3-0 in East Hanover. Goals from Kate Murphy, Lina Proska, and McCall Moore led Chatham to a 3-0 victory. Lina Proska also had 2 assists, with McCall Moore also providing an assist.

On Wednesday:

• The field hockey team defeated Parsippany 1-0 in Chatham.

The following games are scheduled for Thursday, subject to field conditions and availability:

• Girls tennis plays in state tournament semifinals against Mendham High at 2 p.m. at Center Court of Morristown. Transport leaves at 1:15.
• Boys soccer travels to Pequannock High for a 4 p.m. game. Transport leaves at 2:50 p.m.
• Boys JV soccer travels to Pequannock High for a 4 p.m. game. Transport leaves with the varsity team.
• Girls soccer hosts Pequannock High at at 4 p.m.
• Girls JV soccer hosts Pequannock High at Haas Field at 4 p.m.
• Girls JV tennis plays against Villa Walsh Academy at the courts at 4 p.m.
• Girls JV volleyball travels to Parsippany High for a 4 p.m. game. Transport leaves at 2:50 p.m.
• Girls volleyball travels to Parsippany for a 5:30 p.m. game. Transport leaves at 2:50 p.m.
