Three Chatham High School Seniors Awarded Four-Year ROTC Scholars
Collin Goldbach, Kaitlin Pinaire, and Brad Rindos were selected as officer candidates and their scholarships will cover their full tuition.

CHATHAM, NJ - Three Chatham High School seniors have been offered four-year ROTC scholarships which would pay for their secondary education in exchange for their service upon graduation.
Collin Goldbach (Army), Kaitlin Pinaire (Army), and Brad Rindos (Air Force) were selected as officer candidates and their scholarships will cover their full tuition. Upon graduation, these students will serve eight years in their respective service branches, a minimum of four of which will be on active duty.
“We are very proud of Kaitlin, Collin, and Brad for what each has brought to Chatham High School. We are equally as proud of them for being awarded ROTC scholarships to their respective universities," Chatham High School Principal Darren Groh said. "We know that they are set up for success over the next four years, and we appreciate their service upon graduation.”

Goldbach will attend Virginia Tech and intends to Major in National Security and Foreign affairs.
Throughout high school, Goldbachran cross country, and he helped found the Young Conservatives Club at CHS.

Pinaire will attend Johns Hopkins University, where she plans to major in mechanical engineering.
Pinaire spent her time in high school playing softball for all four years and serving as the team captain as a senior. She also played in her first two years of high school. Pinaire played the baritone saxophone in wind ensemble, and she has been a part of the jazz ensemble for the past three years. Pinaire’s academic accomplishments include serving as president of the Technology Club and participating in National Honor Society. In her free time, Pinaire taught Sunday school to kindergarteners at Corpus Christi Church.
Rindos will attend Princeton University in the fall. He plans to major in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with hopes of serving as a fighter pilot in the Air Force. His ultimate goal is to become an astronaut.
At CHS, Rindos participated in cross country, winter track, and spring track. He has served as his class’s president for all four years of high school and as a LINKS leader. Rindos is a member of Saint Patrick’s Parish, and he’s been part of their church retreat teams, which enabled him to co-director for their fall sophomore retreat. Rindos is also an EMT at the Chatham Emergency Squad and an Eagle Scout. As an Eagle Scout, Rindos served as a Senior Patrol Leader, the director of a 100-man scouting troop, and as the Lodge Chief of a 900-man honor society for Northern New Jersey. He also had a role teaching the National Youth Leadership Training course, a selective week-long leadership experience taught over the summer. Rindos also does photography and videography for sports teams and performing arts at CHS.
