'Volunteer Appreciation Month' Established In Chatham Twp.

Governing body passes resolution thanking residents for efforts.

CHATHAM TWP., N.J. – Chatham Township is filled with incredible residents, and it’s those people who step up and volunteer their time to help others that really makes the municipality a remarkable place to live.

Mayor Curt Ritter and the Chatham Township Committee recently thanked the towns volunteers and passed a resolution confirming April as the annual Volunteer Appreciation Month in town.

The resolution reads, in part, “Chatham Township is committed to encouraging community involvement among its residents and encourages them to put their hearts into volunteerism and do their part to build a better Chatham; and Chatham Township recognizes that volunteering improves our quality of life, increases community participation and is one of the many reasons Chatham Township is a great place to live and raise a family.”
