Ⓐ CALL: Virtual Tours of The Met Cloisters and The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Wednesdays, April 4, 11, 18 & 25 – 11:30 am
Michael Norris, Ph. D. and retired art educator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for over 20 years, will present this four-part series. The virtual tours will include: A Stroll through the Medieval Masterpieces of The Met Cloisters; A Stroll through The Met’s Egyptian Art; A Tour of Ancient Greek Art at The Met; and A Tour of Paintings of the Dutch Golden Age. A $40 fee for this series is required payable to Friends of the Library.

Turkey: Children’s Day
Ages 8 & Up Limit: 20 children

Children’s Day was first declared a national holiday by the Republic of Turkey to symbolize the recognition that “children are the future of the nation.” You will learn about the holiday, its historical importance, and its present-day observance. A Children’s Day craft will be completed during the class. Hosted by Aylin Brandon.

Earn a volunteer hour while helping to plan new teen programs. At this meeting you will test your knowledge of Harry Potter to “escape” from Azkaban!

Are you a bit rusty with your Italian language skills? Native speaker Luciana Santoriello moderates an Italian discussion group every third Friday of the month.

SATURDAY, APRIL 21
Ⓣ Free Practice Test: SAT – 10 am to 2 pm
Registration required
This is the first of two tests offered at our library (ACT will be administered next Saturday).
Not sure where to start or if the SAT or ACT is right for you? Take these free, full-length practice tests administered by Princeton Review. You will get the benefit of seeing how you would do if you took the test without it appearing on your official record. You will get your score in 2 weeks. Arrive at 9:45 am, bring a calculator and #2 pencils.

Registration opens on Monday, April 16
Join Ryan and Darren, members of the Chatham High School Chess Club, for an afternoon of chess! They will help beginners learn how to play. All skill levels welcome.

SUNDAY, APRIL 22
Ⓐ The History of Dixiedale Farm – 3 pm
Patricia Wells, Vice President of the Chatham Township Historical Society, will present a lecture on the history of Dixiedale Farm located on River Road and Hillside Avenue in Chatham Township. The land has been owned by notable families since the Revolution. Learn about the Bonnels and their mills, the remarkable George Shepard Page, the chicken lady, and the Averett family who started the Christmas Tree Farm.
