CHATHAM, NJ — This is the week of the annual Friends of the Library Book Sale! There will be thousands and thousands of books offered at bargain-basement prices! Come stock up on children’s books, gifts, cook books, your favorite authors, and even some rarities and old editions. See listings below for hours, from preview on Friday through Sunday.

Storytime is an 8-week, progressive program for preschoolers and their caregivers. Registration required
24 months and younger – 9:45 am
4 to 6 years – 10:15 am
2 to 3 years – 11 am

Ⓒ Spanish Storytime – 10 to 10:45 am
Children of all ages
Introduce your child to basic Spanish vocabulary with fun stories, songs and music!

Ⓐ Income Tax Assistance
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is held on Wednesdays, February 7 to April 11 from 10 am to 2 pm. Appointments for this free service may be made in person or by calling the library at 973-635-0603. Please bring all your financial records from 2017, copies of your 2016 Federal and State tax returns, photo ID, and all printed and blank forms from the Internal Revenue Service.

Ⓒ Homework Helpers – 3:30 to 5 pm
Grades K – 5 Limit: 6 children per session
Registration opens two weeks prior to each session
Two Chatham High School students will provide homework help for children in grades K to 5. All subjects welcome!

Ⓒ Stitch a Peter Rabbit with Miss Polly – 4 to 5 pm
Thursdays, March 1, 8 & 15
Ages 6 & Up Limit: 8 children

Sew your own Peter Rabbit stuffed toy based on the new Peter Rabbit movie in this three-week class!

Ⓐ Gen Y Networking Group – 7 pm
All are welcome to attend this forum dedicated to Generation Y young adults interested in job search, networking, and career development.

Get first dibs on the Library Friends’ Book Sale! Preview open to residents of Chatham who are members of Friends of the Library.
