See Han Solo get his start and celebrate 20 years of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter this week at the library.

CHATHAM, NJ — A Week at the Library of The Chathams: Monday, Sept .24 – Sunday, Sept. 302, 2018. It is a week of science fiction and fantasy as the library will be hosting a screening of the movie Solo and transforming the building into a Harry Potter themed escape room.

Ⓐ Social Security Workshop: 67 Is the New 65 – 7 pm

Retired Human Resources professional Neil Berger will present this Social Security workshop. Topics such as how much you can earn in a year and still collect Social Security benefits; whether you can collect benefits on your ex‑spouse’s work record; and when you should apply will be discussed in layman’s terms.

Ⓐ The Beatles: 50 Years Later – 7 pm

Barry Wiesenfeld, a freelance musician, published author, and faculty member of SUNY and Ramapo College, will present a lecture with musical accompaniment on the Beatles and how they changed music through their originality, musical innovations and lyric depth.

A fun, funny puppet and magic show perfect for preschoolers!

Ⓣ Harry Potter Escape Room: Escape from Azkaban! – 6 to 9 pm

Grades 6 to 12 Limit: 24 participants

Come and celebrate the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter! Imagine: you are a guard in Azkaban and have been locked inside the prison by some escapees. As a group you will have 45 minutes to use your knowledge of the Wizarding World to solve clues that will lead you to freedom and return the escaped prisoners to their cells.
