Ⓐ Taxation University Workshop – 4:30 to 6:15 p.m.
How to Start a Small Business in New Jersey
This program was cancelled by the Division of Taxation. We hope it will be rescheduled.
Provided by the NJ State Library and Taxation University, the training and outreach unit of the NJ Division of Taxation, this workshop will teach different business structures, how to register a small business, legal entity registration, and how to report your New Jersey business income. Registration is limited to 30 people.
TUESDAY, JANUARY 9
Ⓐ College Financial Planning Seminar – 7:30 p.m.
Mike Velasco, a college financial planner, will present a workshop for parents on ways to pay for their child’s college education. Topics will include: how to send your child to the school of their dreams without going broke, increasing eligibility for financial aid, and finding scholarships and grants. Pre-registration is requested.

Two Chatham High School students will provide homework help for children in grades K to 5. All subjects welcome!

Ⓣ Yoga for Teens – 5 to 6 p.m.
Thursdays, January 11, 18 & 25; February 1 – 5 to 6 pm
Grades 8 to 12 Limit: 12 students
Registration opens two weeks prior to each class
Angie Oberhelman, LPC and owner of Stress and Emotional Wellness Counseling, will offer yoga classes for teenagers. She incorporates yoga in her therapy with teens and adults. Ms. Oberhelman will guide you through poses (asana), breathing (pranayama) and meditation (focusing) to help you feel calm and energized. Mats, blocks and straps will be provided. Wear comfortable clothing so you can move easily in the poses. Put your troubles aside, relieve some stress, build self-esteem and have fun!
