Armed Robbers Hit Route 38 Citgo, Police Say
Police are seeking the public's help in identifying three men they say robbed the Citgo near Chapel Avenue on Route 38 on Feb. 2.
Three masked men, one armed with a shotgun, another in a Cherry Hill East sweatshirt, robbed the Citgo station on Route 38 near the Chapel Avenue intersection earlier this month, according to Cherry Hill Police, who are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the men.
The alleged robbers struck just before midnight on Feb. 2, grabbing the cash drawer with an undisclosed amount of money from the station’s office, police said, and were last seen running west toward Chapel Avenue behind the station.
Surveillance video released by police also appeared to show the men grabbing cartons of cigarettes from one room of the office.

Two were described by police as black men, the third was white; the two black men were wearing bandanas as masks, while the third wore a full ski mask. One of the three was wearing a red Cherry Hill East Cougars hooded sweatshirt, another was in a dark hooded sweatshirt and the third wore a white hooded sweatshirt under a striped jacket. All the alleged robbers wore gloves during the incident, police said.
The robbers may have been using a silver Honda during the robbery, police said.
