Collings Avenue Bridge Project Postponed In South Jersey

Traffic was going to be rerouted.

UPDATE: The project is being postponed until further notice, and the bridge will function as normal until the new first day of construction.


GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ — The Collings Avenue Bridge is closed for an anticipated three months due to repairs, Camden County officials said.

Work began on Tuesday over Newton Creek at the border of Gloucester City and the City of Camden.

Traffic is being rerouted to Route 676 Exit 3 via Broadway and Morgan Boulevard.

The project costs $2.5 million and includes a new concrete deck, sidewalks, and parapet.

Steel support beams and bearings are also being refurbished.
