Camden Catholic Wrestling Beats DePaul for State Title
It's the fourth year in a row the Irish have won out over DePaul in the state finals.

Jarred Alwan’s pin at 220 pounds broke a 24-24 tie and started a string of three pins in four weight classes to give Camden Catholic the state Non-Public B team wrestling championship with a 42-30 win over DePaul Catholic at the Pine Belt Arena in Toms River Sunday.
Alwan took a 4-1 lead after the first period, then pinned DePaul’s Joe Perkins late in the second period. His pin was followed by pinfall victories by teammates Jeff Miller (heavyweight) and Tyler McBride (113), which helped seal the Irish victory.
DePaul jumped out to a quick lead in the match, getting two pins to open, but Camden Catholic fought back, first tying the match on T.J. Miller’s pin of Sean Brophy at 145 pounds. The teams traded decisions and pins over the next five bouts before Alwan’s pin gave the Irish the lead for good.
