Camden Non-profit to Hold Spring Event at American Water

LUCY (Lifting Up Camden’s Youth) Outreach is holding its annual spring event on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at American Water’s new corporate headquarters on the Camden Waterfront.

Rick Williams, Channel 6 Action News anchor, will emcee the night highlighting this year’s accomplishments, honor high school seniors receiving college scholarships, and introduce architectural plans for a dream youth center which will break ground this fall. The fun-filled event will include tapas style fare, beverages, live entertainment, the opportunity to win auction items, while celebrating successes and focusing on the future. All funds raised will benefit LUCY Outreach programming. Valet parking will be provided.

LUCY Outreach offers multilingual, culturally sensitive services to low-income Camden county youth and young adults, ages 7-25, and their families. In 2018 over 500 youth took advantage of LUCY programming and this non-profit is experiencing tremendous growth with over 155 new participants in the past 6 months. Services include educational, social, cultural and service-oriented programs which empower youth to form healthy relationships, make good choices and develop into compassionate and socially responsible adults.
