Cherry Hill BOE Discusses Calendar Changes For Snow Days
The discussion centers on adding days during spring break or to the end of the calendar year, according to the Cherry Hill Sun.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Possible snow days plus construction may equal a change in the Cherry Hill Public School District’s calendar for the next three years.
The Board of Education has begun discussing the possibility of moving make-up days due to inclement weather to the spring break, the Cherry Hill Sun reports. The discussion was spurred by the possibility of construction in the district should the district’s proposal pass by referendum in the fall. Currently, make-up days are added to the end of the year, after the school’s scheduled make-up days are used.
The calendar for the 2018-19 school year has days off scheduled for Feb. 15 and 18 and March 15, which can be used for make-up days. Spring break is currently scheduled for April 19-26, and the last day of school is scheduled for June 21.

If approved, construction would follow, which would make it difficult to add days to the calendar at the end of the school year, with work likely to take place in the summer months.
