Cherry Hill East Boys Swimmers Beat EHT, Head to South Jersey Final
The Cougars dominated from the outset in their semifinal victory Monday.

The Cherry Hill East boys swim team didn’t take long to assert itself against Egg Harbor Township in the South A semifinals at Camden County Tech Monday.
Just one minute, 53 seconds, in fact.
That’s all it took for the Cougars’ top three medley relay teams to touch and go one-two-three to open the meet and put up an immediate 10-point lead on the Eagles.

While Egg Harbor Township was able to close that gap to just four points one event later, the damage was done. East’s depth proved itself again and again as the afternoon wore on, with the Cougars pulling together 17 second- and third-place finishes to go along with six wins in the 100-70 victory.
East’s Mike Simunek (500 free, individual medley), David Rowe (100 butterfly, 200 medley relay), Duncan Brookover (100 freestyle, 200 medley relay) and Liam Mahoney (100 breaststroke, 200 medley relay) led the team as double winners.
