Cherry Hill Mall Fight Captured on Video Injures 2 Teens
Bystanders capture a fight involving at least nine men outside The Gap in the Cherry Hill Mall.
A wild fight at the Cherry Hill Mall, which appeared to involve at least nine young men, ended up on YouTube Saturday night, but while police said the video looks bad, there weren’t any major injuries from the melee.
The fight—a full minute of which ended up on YouTube—broke out around 8 p.m., police said, and ended with two teens with what police termed minor injuries.
The video, which had more than 12,000 views as of Monday afternoon, shows two young men—one in a green hooded sweatshirt, another in a black jacket—trading punches outside The Gap, in a choke point in between wings of the mall.

It escalates quickly, as others join in, raining down punches and throwing around several combatants. At one point, two of the fighters get knocked down and get pummeled and kicked while on the ground.
One of the fighters refused treatment for scrapes and bruises on his head, while another was treated and released from a nearby hospital, police said.

Mall security ended up notifying police of the fight, despite numerous bystanders who were shown watching—a few apparently filming the brawl with their own phones—including the unidentified person who posted the video online, who police said didn’t call 911.
No charges have yet been filed in the fight, though police said the incident remains under investigation. Police did not release any names or hometowns of anyone involved.
Both police and mall representatives said a fight like Saturday night’s is a rare incident.
