Cherry Hill Man Charged With Attempted Luring, Sexual Assault
Thomas S. McGregor believed he was meeting with a teenage girl for a sexual encounter when he was apprehended by police.

A Cherry Hill man has been charged with attempting to commit sexual assault, attempted luring and endangering the welfare of a child as the result of a pre-arranged encounter he believed he was having with an underage girl, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Wednesday.
Thomas S. MacGregor, 62, allegedly thought he had been communicating electronically with a 14-year-old girl.
In reality, the person on the other end was a detective from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit.

MacGregor was apprehended at the pre-arranged location in Mount Holly on Tuesday. He allegedly had vodka and condoms in his car when he arrived.
MacGregor, who works as a kitchen designer for a home improvement store, was lodged in the Burlington County Jail on $70,000 bail.

The investigation was conducted by detectives from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office with assistance from the Mount Holly Police Department.
