Cherry Hill Man Convicted Of Planning PA Warehouse Arson
He paid 2 men to set the building ablaze. 1 of them followed through, and a firefighter was hospitalized.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — A Cherry Hill man accused of paying two people to set a Pennsylvania warehouse on fire was found guilty Wednesday in federal court.
Ramiz Duka gave two men $15,000 to set a Bensalem warehouse ablaze, authorities said. They planned the arson over several weeks, before one of Duka's co-conspirators set the Ebooks Web LLC building on fire in December 2022.
The fire caused nearly $6 million in damage, officials said. A Nottingham firefighter was hospitalized when he fell 25 feet off a ladder that collapsed. He was released from the hospital in the ensuing days.
