Ex-Air Force Officer From Cherry Hill Gets 10 Years For Distributing Child Porn

He was a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force when he was charged in early 2021.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A federal judge sentenced a Cherry Hill man Monday to 10 years in prison for distributing child pornography. Following imprisonment, Ryan Osinski also must undergo a decade of supervised release.

Osinski, 33, was charged in January 2021 with one count of distribution of child pornography. He was a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force at the time. An Air Force spokesman told Patch in November, when Osinski pleaded guilty, that there is no one matching his name currently serving on active duty with the USAF.

The man faced up to 20 years in prison for the offense, with a mandatory minimum of five years.

Law enforcement interviewed Osinski in December 2020 after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children informed them that images of child sexual abuse were being shared from an IP address linked to Osinski's residence, federal authorities said.

Officers found numerous images and videos of child sexual abuse on Osinski's phone, said U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger. Investigators also found links and folders on a cloud storage website that contained images and videos of child sexual abuse, officials said. Some of the materials "depicted prepubescent children and sadomasochistic conduct," Sellinger said.

Osinski transmitted the files to other people through a social media app on his phone, officials said.
