Interviews will begin soon to find Chief Robert Kempf's successor.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Cherry Hill's police chief will retire at the end of the year, officials said Wednesday.

Interviews will begin soon to find a successor for Chief Robert Kempf, who is completing an "impressive" 26-year career with the police department, said Mayor Dave Fleisher.

Kempf, a Cherry Hill West graduate, became a Cherry Hill officer in 1998. He rose through the ranks before getting sworn in as police chief in early 2022.
