Cherry Hill Police Seek Car In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash

Police have released details about the car that fatally hit a man who was walking across Route 38 Friday morning.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Cherry Hill police have provided a description of the car they are searching for in connection with last week’s fatal hit-and-run crash on Route 38.

The car that ran a red light and struck a man as he was crossing the busy highway on Friday morning, Oct. 25, is described as a dark colored older model Nissan Maxima or Nissan Altima, Cherry Hill police said on Monday.

The man was hit while walking in a marked crosswalk in the area of Chestnut Street at about 4:45 a.m. He was crossing the westbound lanes and was hit by a driver travelling east when he was hit, police said. The driver then continued along Route 38 east without stopping, police said.
