Cherry Hill Superintendent Set For County Coronavirus Update
Superintendent Dr. Joseph Meloche will join county and Virtua health officials for an update on the coronavirus in Camden County Thursday.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — Cherry Hill Superintendent of Schools Dr. Joseph Meloche will join Camden County Director Louis Cappelli Jr. and Virtua Health Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Dr. Reginald “Reggie” Blaber during the county’s coronavirus update this week.
The address will be streamed live on Camden County’s Facebook page and at camdencounty.com/live beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday, officials announced on Wednesday.
The Cherry Hill Public School District began in-person instruction this week for the 2020-21 school year. It began the year using full-remote instruction, and was scheduled to return to in-person instruction Nov. 9 before more than three dozen positive coronavirus cases were identified in the district, further delaying the opening. Meloche will speak to the challenges schools are facing, and how Cherry Hill is working to protect students and teachers. Blaber will provide an update on how Virtua is handling the ongoing surge in cases.

“The Freeholder Board is actively responding to this second surge, ensuring families have access to critical resources and that testing remains available despite a spike in demand,” Cappelli said. “Our goal is to be transparent with the public about the challenges we are facing and how their government is working to support them. We hope that residents with questions will submit their comments in advance of our update or live on Facebook.”
