Popular Retail Store Expands In Cherry Hill Mall
Movies, TV shows, and personal health make up a few of the themes for the items they sell.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — "Spencer's," known for its pop culture, humor, and risqué items, held a grand reopening on Saturday at the Cherry Hill Mall with a revamped look and location.
The relocation comes after more than 60 years in the mall as one of its flagship retailers, when it opened in 1963.
The new, larger store features an updated design and new fun for in-person shoppers in a world where online commerce continues to evolve markets.

They also pay homage to the franchise's past with a plaque commemorating Cherry Hill as the site of its first-ever brick-and-mortar store.
"Chery Hill holds a special place in Spencer's history," the spokesperson said. "We're proud to continue that legacy in a refreshed space that celebrates our roots while giving today's customers even more to discover."

While the look of the store may have changed, staff still want everyone to feel like they belong.
"Spencer's is about self-expression and discovering something unexpected...we want customers to leave having had fun and feeling like Spencer's is a place they can always be themselves, no matter who that is," staff added.
The chain began in 1947 as a mail-order catalog and has grown to more than 680 retail locations in 2026.
