CHERRY HILL, NJ — A Cherry Hill woman in her 90s has died after testing positive for the coronavirus, Camden County officials announced on Monday. In all, there were eight new deaths announced in Camden County for the period of July 25-27.
As of Monday, there are 1,154 cases in Cherry Hill with 160 confirmed deaths. Countywide, there are 8,698 cases of the coronavirus and 538 confirmed deaths.
“It is with great sorrow that we announce eight additional deaths caused by COVID-19 in our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “Much as low case totals at the beginning of last week were at least partially due to delays in reporting from labs to the state system, this weekend’s high case totals are likely at least due in part to those delays being rectified. Still, we can see clearly that this virus remains active in our community. We must continue to wear masks, social distance, and minimize our contact with others in order to slow the spread of coronavirus and to save the lives of vulnerable community members.”
