Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Marlton Celebrates Week of the Young Child with Donation to Ronald McDonald House

Students participated in several educational activities throughout the week and created art kits for children at Ronald McDonald House

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Marlton celebrated the national initiative Week of the Young Child by participating in several educational activities throughout the week of April 24, which included a service project in support of Ronald McDonald House Southern New Jersey in Camden. Chesterbrook Academy planned a different theme for each day of Week of the Young Child, including Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday and Family Friday. As part of Work Together Wednesday, students and their families donated art supplies, including markers, sketch pads, paints and more, to create 50 art kits for children staying at the Ronald McDonald House while undergoing treatment. During Artsy Thursday, students created artwork for an art show they held on Family Friday. At the art show, students collected donations in exchange for their artwork, and the funds raised will be used by Chesterbrook Academy principals to prepare breakfast for residents at Ronald McDonald House Philadelphia on May 16.
