Dance Classes with Elena Grinenko

From Dancing With the Stars, the undefeated US and World Rhythm Dance Champion, Elena Grinenko, will be at Fred Astaire Cherry Hill on October 20th and Fred Astaire Red Bank on October 21st.

Elena Grinenko is a professional National and World ballroom dance champion, choreographer, and instructor. She is also the owner of Grinya Talent and LA Ballroom Studio. In 2002 Elena partnered with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Their first competition happened to be the Closed American National Rising Star Championship. They won in all the dances. Together they went on to win the International Rising Star Championship. Within six months they became one of the top twelve (semi-final) Professional Dancers in the World.

In 2005 Elena decided to dance with Tony Dovolani. After just five weeks of preparation for competition, the partnership was so strong they won their first title together by sweeping all the first places. Together they became National and World Champions in the American Rhythm Category. They continued to compete and won many more competitions all over the country. They have recently retired from dance sport competitions, but continue dancing and working together.

Elena Grinenko is a familiar face on television. She has been on the show “American Ballroom Challenge – Americas Best Couple” (PBS), but she is known to many for her role as a professional dancer on ABC’s hit “Dancing with the Stars”

Elena is available for private dance coaching on both days. She will be teaching a Dance Styling Group Class at 7:30pm, October 20th (Cherry Hill) and a Rhythm Dance Class at 7:30pm on October 21st (Red Bank). Group Classes are open to everyone and cost $35 each.
