Eagles QB Works With Cherry Hill Church On Food Truck For Needy

Carson Wentz, a devout Christian, worked with his Cherry Hill church to launch "Thy Kingdom Crumb" food truck.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz is not shy about his faith. The star quarterback and devout Christian wears his faith on his sleeve and attributes his successes to faith in God.

Wentz attends The Connect Church in Cherry Hill. He worked with the church to develop and launch a new food truck that will feed the hungry in the greater Philadelphia area, completely free of charge.

"Thy Kingdom Crumb" food truck was unveiled this weekend during a charity softball game put on by Wentz's AO1 Foundation. It is set to open in August. The truck's website says it will be at Lincoln Financial Field for every home Eagles game in 2018.

"The idea behind it is pretty simple," Wentz said after the truck, emblazoned with the Lord's Prayer, was unveiled Friday. "We want to be able to provide free food and a whole lot of love."

"We realize that everyone needs to feel loved, seen, and valued no matter where they are in life," the church said in a Facebook post. "This mobile campus is all about spreading the unconditional love of Jesus tangibly to our neighbors, coworkers, friends, classmates, and even yet-to-be friends. We're so excited for this new initative and can't wait to engage with countless people and change our area with the love of Jesus."

In addition to serving up free food, Wentz's truck will spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and form relationships to maximize its reach, capabilities, and impact.

"Thy Kingdom Crumb exists to demonstrate the love of God and to infuse His hope by feeding people and uplifting communities," according to the truck's website.
