Elmwood Hills Healthcare Center Hosts Free Health Fair June 24

Experts from Lourdes Cardiology will offer heart health seminars, screenings, food presentations and more

BLACKWOOD, NJ—On Saturday, June 24, Elmwood Hills Healthcare Center, Camden County’s premier center for short-term nursing care, will host a free cardiac health fair. The event will feature heart health seminars led by Lourdes Cardiology experts, health screenings, dietary information with food presentations, chair massages, an exercise exhibit, raffle prizes and more.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Elmwood Hills Healthcare Center, located at 425 Woodbury-Turnersville Road in Blackwood, NJ. Participants will be treated to a free boxed lunch at the end of the event. Tours of Elmwood Hills’ new state-of-the-art rehabilitation gym will be available as well.

Elmwood Hills teamed up with Lourdes Cardiology experts to offer its health fair in an effort to promote heart health awareness to the community.

Renown Lourdes cardiologists Troy L. Randle, DO; and Thierry Momplasir, MD, will present seminars on “Understanding Hypertension” and the “Signs and Symptoms of a Heart Attack.”

“We are excited to team up with Elmwood Hills,” said Dr. Randle. “It’s crucial to educate the community about the advantages of practicing a heart-healthy lifestyle. Understanding how to manage your cardiac health now can potentially prevent heart-related issues in the future.”

Health screenings at the fair include blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, body fat testing, and an Achilles tendon injury-risk screening.
