Erin Dickins, founding member of the Manhattan Transfer Visited Spring Hills Cherry Hill and sang with Cherry Hill High School West Accapella Students
Cherry Hill High School West singers and Erin Dickens performed for the residents, Java Jive, the title song from her new CD.
Cherry Hill High School West singers got an experience of a lifetime when Erin Dickins, founding member of the Manhattan Transfer, joined them in singing Java Jive, the title song from her new CD, for the seniors at Spring Hills Cherry Hill Assisted Living on Friday, January 9, 2015. Three of Cherry Hill High School West’s A Cappella groups, an all-female group called Fermata, an all-male group called Men of Notes and a co-ed group called Chamber Singers, gathered in the lobby at Spring Hills Cherry Hill to perform for the residents. Dickins joined the Chamber Singers when they sang Java Jive, one of the Manhattan Transfer’s first hits. Dickins listened to each group sing and then talked with all of the students about their performance and the history of the songs they sang.
