CHERRY HILL, NJ — The former king of NFL touchdown celebrations gave a Cherry Hill waitress a big reason to celebrate.

Chad Ochocinco Johnson recently went to Bahama Breeze in Cherry Hill Mall. He left a $1,000 tip on a $63.69 bill, which he shared Monday on X — formerly known as Twitter.

Johnson noted on the bill that it was his server's birthday. On the post, he wrote "Proverbs 11: 25" — a Bible verse regarding generosity.

In the 2000s, Johnson stood as one of the NFL's most productive receivers and one of the game's biggest celebrities. With the Bengals, the wideout was named first-team All-Pro three times and made six Pro Bowls.

Johnson garnered attention for his infamous end zone celebrations in 2006, when he scored seven touchdowns and led the NFL with 1,369 receiving yards. That year, the league instituted penalties for certain end zone celebrations, which could result in large fines or even suspensions. (The league scaled back its excessive celebration rules in 2017.)

In 2006, Johnson announced he would prefer to be called "Ocho Cinco," referencing the number 85 on his jersey. (It was noted throughout Johnson's career that 85 in Spanish is "ochenta y cinco.")

He legally changed his name to Chad Javon Ochocinco in 2008 and then returned to Chad Johnson four years later.
