Fentanyl Trafficking, Firearm Possession Lands Camden Man In Prison
Officers found $34,000 in cash and 300 grams of fentanyl in plastic bags, alongside more of the drug packaged in wax folds, officials said.
CAMDEN, NJ — A Camden City man will spend more than 10 years in jail after pleading guilty to intending to distribute fentanyl and having a firearm illegally, officials said Friday.
Last October, officers searched 30-year-old Tyquan Burrell's home and found 2,521 wax folds, three sandwich-sized clear plastic bags containing more than 300 grams of fentanyl, approximately $34,000 in U.S. currency and a loaded handgun, authorities said.
On the same day of the search, Burrell was arrested while in possession of 418 wax folds containing fentanyl, according to authorities.

U.S. District Judge Robert B. Kugler sentenced Burrell to 130 months in prison on Thursday, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced. Kugler also sentenced him to five years of supervised release, Sellinger said.
Burrell pleaded guilty in May to charges of possession with intent to distribute more than 400 grams of fentanyl and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, the U.S. Attorney General's office said. Original story: Caught With 400 Grams Of Fentanyl, Camden Man Pleads Guilty
