Adding to the beautiful Christmas-themed selections in her shop, Jo Colino of the Spirit of Christmas in Mount Holly, NJ, is thrilled to offer customers a brand new Christmas item -- A Philly POPS Christmas CD. It was recorded live in concert last Christmas season, in December 2015. The music on the CD is conducted by the acclaimed David Charles Abell who led the 65-piece POPS orchestra, guest vocalist (and Broadway veteran) Lisa Vroman, the Philadelphia Boys Choir, the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas Gospel Choir, the POPS Festival Chorus, organist Peter Richard Conte – for a total of 325 musicians on stage – in the 2015 Philly POPS Christmas concert. The songs include such favorites as Deck the Halls, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Joy to the World and many more.
This year’s Philly POPS Christmas concerts begin December 2, 2016 with nine more performances until December 18. Held in Verizon Hall at The Kimmel Center, it is a very popular Philadelphia tradition. Maestro Michael Krajewski will lead the audience through an all-new spectacular lineup of exciting musical arrangements, featuring internationally acclaimed pianist and vocalist Tony DeSare and all the special musical guests included in the recording.
