I-295 Crash, Traffic-Light Outage On Route 70 Cause Delays In Cherry Hill

Officials reported delays of 5-10 minutes in both areas as of late Thursday afternoon.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Two separate incidents on major Cherry Hill roadways are causing traffic delays, officials reported late Thursday afternoon.

First, a crash occurred on Interstate 295 South. Then, a traffic light stopped working on Route 70, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

Both incidents occurred close to where both roadways meet and are causing delays of 5-10 minutes, NJDOT said.

Transportation officials reported the I-295 crash at 4:22 p.m. The left shoulder is closed on the southbound side, just south of Exit 34 - Route 70.

Twelve minutes later, NJDOT reported a power failure that caused a traffic light on Route 70 to malfunction. The outage impacts traffic in both directions approaching Route 674/Greentree Road in Cherry Hill.
