Ingram draws deeply on his extensive broadcast news experience to offer readers a new view of the industry. “The people you see on TV aren’t the stars of the book,” he says. “It’s the people behind the scenes, who really are the backbone of broadcast news, who are featured in this story.”
The novel focuses on Donna Rand, an assignment editor at the fictional WEEL-TV news department. She’s in the middle of managing the station’s coverage of the grisliest murder spree to hit New England since the Boston Strangler - the Packing Crate Killer case. Her encounter with a noisy upstairs neighbor triggers a series of events that finds her kidnapped, beaten, and potentially jobless, as she races against time to prevent the next murder, and ensure that she’s not the latest victim.

Ingram is also battling for a publishing contract from Amazon for his second book, “The Redhead Rises.” Readers can access his title at “Kindle Scout” at the website, https://kindlescout.amazon.com/, and read a five-thousand word extract. They can then nominate the book for publication.
Ingram has also published a book about his Hall of Fame Radio deejay father, Dan Ingram. It’s called “Hey Kemosabe! The Days (and Nights) of a Radio Idyll.”
“The Redhead is Dead” is available now at amazon.com.
