Man Shot Dead In South Jersey Thursday Night: Prosecutors

He was found lying in the street.

CAMDEN, NJ — A 50-year-old man was killed in a shooting on Thursday night, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said.

At around 10:30 p.m., officers with the Camden County Police Department responded to the 300 block of Morse Street for a report of a person who was shot.

There, they found Cornelius Smith, of Camden, lying in the street.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital and declared dead at around 10:45 p.m.

No arrests have been made.
