Car Loaded With Drugs, Guns Crashes Into NJ Building, Police Say
Both people immediately tried to escape.
HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Two loaded handguns and suspected drugs were found in a car that crashed into a building on Tuesday, Haddon Township Police said.
Two unidentified individuals were arrested and charged with:
- Possession of weapon for unlawful purpose
- Possession of weapon while committing a CDS crime
- Weapon possession: dum-dum bullet
- Distribution of crack cocaine
- Distribution of marijuana
- Illegal possession of ammo magazine
- Receiving stolen property
- Resisting arrest
- Possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia
- Tampering with evidence
- Unlawful possession without a permit
On Tuesday, an officer witnessed a vehicle moving recklessly along Mount Ephraim Avenue.

After trying to conduct a stop, the car lost control and crashed into a building at the intersection of Mount Ephraim Avenue and Collings Road.
Two people immediately got out of the vehicle and tried to escape on foot.

Using a K-9 officer, one of the individuals was seen moving through the backyards of homes along Collings Road.
Both of those who fled were then taken into custody without conflict, authorities said.
Officers were able to recover two loaded handguns, one of which was reported stolen and had a high-capacity magazine.
They also confiscated hollow-point ammunition, suspected crack cocaine, suspected marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
