Murder Charge Filed In Daylight Slaying: Camden County Prosecutor
U.S. Marshals arrested a man Tuesday for a fatal shooting that happened Monday morning, county officials said.
CAMDEN, NJ — Officials charged a man with murder and weapons offenses in the Monday morning shooting that killed a 35-year-old Camden man.
Members of the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 26-year-old Dimear Caraballo on Tuesday, said Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
Caraballo, of Camden, faces a first-degree charge of murder, and second-degree charges of unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, officials said. Related article —Monday Morning Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, Camden County Police Say

Police received a ShotSpotter alert for gunfire near the 1100 block of Lansdowne Avenue at 8:21 a.m. Monday, MacAulay and Rodriguez said earlier this week.
Officers found a man, identified as 35-year-old Mustapha Gbassa of Camden, with a gunshot wound according to MacAulay and Rodriguez. First responders transported him to Virtua Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:31 a.m., officials said.

Following his arrest, Caraballo was taken to the Camden County Correctional facility, officials said.
