New Cardiologist Joins Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center

Cardiologist Delcine Abraham Sood, DO, FACC, recently joined the medical staff of Lourdes Cardiology. She specializes in non-invasive cardiology.

Dr. Sood comes to Lourdes from Penn Cardiology Somers Point, where she was a cardiologist at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point, NJ.

Dr. Sood completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Kennedy Health, and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. She performed her internal medicine residency and internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey—School of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was selected as chief Internal Medicine resident and chief intern.

Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and vascular ultrasound, Dr. Sood earned her medical and bachelor degrees from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Dr. Sood is active in community outreach. She has served as a volunteer on a medical mission trip, and as a coordinator for the American Heart Association Walk, and as a speaker for tobacco cessation programs.

Dr. Sood is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
